The AEM Architect will be responsible for taking AEM platform implementations projects through the entire life cycle. The person should be able to bring his/her knowledge of AEM together with business acumen and provide solutions across AEM and other platforms. The position will include both working within project teams in an Agile environment and self-directed activities. The position's responsibilities require independent analysis, defining enterprise vision, communication with various stakeholders, and problem solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative, organization, and judgment.

 

Role / Responsibilities:

 

  • Designs and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems, and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the application
  • Ensures and drives success of AEM enterprise-level integration and development efforts effecting upstream and downstream legacy systems
  • Participate and lead the initial gathering of technical and functional requirements from business teams during discovery phase
  • Interact with business to define end-to-end specifications and solution architecture for content & collaboration solutions
  • Translate business and marketing requirement into solution using AEM
  • Develop and document the detailed technical design for selected product solution
  • Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet business requirements more efficiently and/or with greater reusability and/or longer life.
  • Set up architecture principles and guidelines for implementation teams and ensure compliance
  • Perform reviews and provide inputs/directions to implementation team during design and development
  • Build solution architecture based on requirements & availability of existing IT landscape for AEM Solution
  • Experience and exposure in Agile methodologies.
  • Drive project scope and timeline definition based on solution and requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and customer relationship building skills.

 

Technical Skills

 

  • Should be a seasoned veteran on Web Content Management solutions; must have multiple successful implementations of Web CMSs with expertise on Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Marketing Suite in general
  • Extensive and strong hands on experience of Components, Templates, Taxonomy, metadata management, Forward and Reverse Replication, Workflows, Content Publishing, Tagging, Campaigns, Analytics.
  • Experienced with client-side and server-side integrations e.g. Search Integrations, Authentication Handlers, Webservices Integrations, CRM Integrations, CDN Integrations, etc
  • Experience in implementing, enhancing, and troubleshooting AEM installations and administration issues
  • Experience working with E-Commerce platforms is highly desirable (e.g. Magento, SalesForce Commerce Cloud etc.)
  • Extensive experience in application deployment (Cloud deployment/In-house deployment)
  • Good understanding of integration patterns and content-centric application development patterns using AEM Search, Commerce package or other platforms.
  • Good understanding of AEM capabilities including Multi-site manager and Blueprinting, and the use of Online marketing components such as advanced targeting/ personalization, and multi-variate testing.
  • Experience in performing product and technology research and analysis to formulate solutions to business specific requirements
  • Evaluate third party software needed to support business specific solutions and make recommendations.
  • Having one or more of the following certifications is a plus. ACE - AEM Architect, AEM Developer, Adobe AEM Advanced developer, Adobe AEM Systems Administrator

 

Experience

 

  • Overall 15+ years of experience in delivering enterprise solutions
  • Minimum 10 years of experience developing with AEM (version 6.2 and higher)
  • 10+ years building sites using: AEM CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Vue
  • 5+ years experience with creating custom AEM components and templates
  • 5+ years experience maintaining and administering AEM sites
  • 5+ years experience with Java
  • 5+ years experience with HTTP and REST API usage
  • Experience utilizing BitBucket, GitHub, Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with cloud offerings as a hosting platform
  • Familiarity with eCommerce and Magento
