Assistant Finance Controller


Key Responsibilities


  • Supporting and managing the Accounting and reporting compliance with local GAAP and ASSA ABLOY Group Accounting and reporting guideline. The role is to improve the businesses' performance by correct reporting of all Financial
  • Responsiblefor designing and implementing internal controls over financial reporting, including accounting policy implementations, distributed controllership, process simplification.
  • Serve as controllership expert on financial system and ERP implementations. Provide guidance and technical clarifications on revenue recognition policy.
  • Responsible for managing the audit and maintain relationship with external auditors to ensure a successful and timely completion of audit.
  • Lead the closing activities and escalate/resolve disconnections to relevant support teams on timely manner
  • Lead and bridge expectation/support on interim/final statutory audit, tax, GST filing & other statutory reporting efforts with Centre team to ensure statutory timelines are met on time and compliantly
  • Responsible to run controllership rhythm in the region managing APAC Balance sheet reviews. Assess P&L and CFOA impacts including drive actions to mitigate the negative financial risks.
  • Prepare APAC monthly reporting package
  • Drive global consistency in non-centralized processes to drive simplification and standardization in controllership activities
  • Using strong Accounting and tax skills to navigate stakeholders through the accurate reporting
  • Cultivate strong working relationships within APAC  Finance
  • Lead ad hoc projects as required
  • Lead with a strong compliance and integrity mindset


Key Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 8-10 years of experience in a financial position
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong proficiency in IFRS and authoritative accounting literature
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
  • Clear thinking/problem solving successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Experience leading in a global business environment
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
