Finance Business Partner - DAS EMEA

The division has an annual turnover of €2 billion and 12,000 employees, with commercial and operational activities managed through 12 Market Regions across Europe, Middle East and Africa.



Purpose of the Role:

The EMEA Division is looking for a Financial Business Partner for DAS business to ensure that Financial Reporting and other finance-led projects continue to be managed in a professional and timely manner, harmonized. This person will work with the EMEA CFO, the DAS Product Unit leaders, DAS Program Management, DAS R&D as well as the Regional Finance teams

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the consolidated DAS EMEA Financial Report on a monthly/quarterly basis ensuring accurate and timely consolidation of the regional financial and central results, checking for variances and anomalies and finding justified explanations for any deviations to last year, forecast or budget.
  • Harmonize reporting format of the P&L
  • Overall responsibility for the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process.
  • Oversight of the R&D and Product Units budgets.
  •  Act as a business partner building processes to consolidate DAS revenues. Work with senior stakeholders (such as IT and regions) and business partnering across various departments and entities.
  • Provide technical advice to the regions and central on how they complete their financial reporting package with emphasis on Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet according to IFRS.
  • To act as a link between the Regions and EMEA and between EMEA and Global HQ.
  •  Involvement in acquisition/divestment process.
  •  Work on ad-hoc projects covering new product development and launches, etc. Reviewing business cases on innovation/new products and ensuring follow up of the results according to commitment
  • Work with DAS R&D leaders on the monthly resources planning
  • Prepare presentations for Executive Meetings such as the Operational Boards and the Divisional Boards.


Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educated to University degree level and a qualified ACA or equivalent.
  • Significant all-round finance experience including in-depth: budgeting, accounting, controlling, partnering and reporting skills.
  • Understanding of IFRS and group accounting and an appreciation of how local financial reporting standards differ.
  • Experience in a Multinational Company would be an advantage as would experience of having worked in more than one European Country.
  • Highly Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint.  Experience of Hyperion Financial Management would be advantageous.
  • The ability to work in another major European Language as well as English would be an advantage
  • Good communication skills with the ability to influence others across the Division to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Internal or external audit experience, would be an advantage.
