Sr. Manager, Pricing and Analytics

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas is recruiting a Senior Manager, Pricing and Analytics. This position is designed to develop the right individual and reports to the Senior Director of Commercial Excellence.  Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day management of the pricing and Analytics team, and indirect reports within the Americas businesses.  Indirect reporting includes pricing execution teams, strategy, and business intelligence professionals, and a high level of engagement with the salesforce.  The position will also assist overseeing major strategic project initiatives involving external consultants, legal teams, business presidents, and other high level business executives.

Principle job responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing Americas Pricing Strategy team, and manage large scale projects that impact sales, pricing, brand initiatives, business intelligence software development, new product launches, and finance.
  • Drive Americas' price realization through data analytics, engagement with the Americas Price Council members and Price Administrators, process improvements, and strategic initiatives identified.
  • Perform complex data analytics to drive improvement projects.
  • Engage with global resources though various global councils and ensure global priorities and compliance initiatives are implemented within the Americas as required.
  • Will be required to work with various Americas Businesses Pricing Leadership and their respective teams of pricing professionals in a competitive and time sensitive B2B quoting environment.
  • Liaison between the Business, BI, and IT teams to:
    • Structure and leverage data with insight into three main areas; internal sales and margin data, customer behavior (point of sales), and market intelligence.
    • Formulate and implement sophisticated Business Analytics
    • Utilize the analytics to identify opportunities with a focus on sales growth and margin improvement
    • Develop and assist with operational solutions for business analytics
  • Assist in overseeing Americas Data Governance initiatives.
  • Assist in overseeing the development and data integrity of data visualization dashboards in Qlikview and PowerBI.
  • Create and oversee in person and online training, including development of training materials.
  • Perform and oversee various required financial and brand reporting, both ad-hoc and routine.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in economics, pricing, finance, or business.
  • MBA or graduate certificate preferred.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in roles of progressively increasing responsibilities within a data and quantitatively heavy function.
  • At least 7-10 years of working with strategy, training, marketing, finance, IT, and sales functions.
  • Has previously managed cross functional teams in highly matrixed work environments.
  • Track record of tangible financial successes managing large, impactful, companywide projects.
  • Experience in presenting to internal and external stakeholders at high levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-40% of the time depending on fluctuating business needs.

  • Strong analytical skills, and can present complex analytical concepts and results, in a simple and understandable manner to business owners and executive teams.
  • Ability to turn analytical findings and financial reports into tangible action items (or projects), and produce substantive results.
  • Self-starter that can work under minimal supervision and effectively manage numerous large project teams in parallel.
  • Strong communicator that is comfortable presenting to large groups and business leaders, and has the ability to answer questions on the spot.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) with emphasis on using Excel.
  • SQL Experience with SQL, Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI, and Qlikview.
  • Strong business intelligence, and data visualization background.
  • Experience with large ERP environments (JDE preferred).
  • Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra.
