JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The ASSA ABLOY Aftermarket Business Development Representative (ABDR) role is a dedicated field sales position reporting direct-line to and through the local Door Security Solutions (DSS) Directors/Principals to the DSS Regional Vice Presidents and the Executive Vice President of Sales for DSS.  The ABDR will also have a firm dotted line accountability to and through an Aftermarket Regional Director (ARD) and the Executive Vice President of Aftermarket Sales for DSS.  

 

The ABDR role is responsible for cross-brand demand generation development and capture of ASSA ABLOY brand product sales (mechanical and electro-mechanical) within the targeted Aftermarket channel community including but not limited to targeted Wholesalers, Security Professionals and Systems Integrators.  Aftermarket demand generation, project tracking, team collaboration and sales execution are critical to the success of the ASSA ABLOY ABDR. 

 

The successful ABDR is responsible for crafting high-value localized aftermarket business development programs with their DSS associates and peers to discover and advance business opportunities and competitive conversions with end users purchasing and acquiring aftermarket products and services.  An effective ABDR will collaborate closely with all elements of ASSA ABLOY's DSS business development teams, including, but not limited to: DSS Directors and Principals, Vertical Market Specialists/End User Representatives, Wholesale/Distribution Representatives, Integration Solutions Specialists (ISS), regional Intelligent Key Business Development Specialists and Electro-Mechanical Specialists to positively affect aftermarket revenue growth within the territory; and to establish/protect strong ASSA ABLOY brand loyalty within the targeted community. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Customer Service

  • CCF's

  • Return/Replacement, Return/Credit, Credit Only

  • Contact tech support to obtain ticket # to process CCF

  • Contact customer or DSS Rep for more information to submit CCF (if needed)

  • Expedite requests

  • Follow up on submitted CCF's to ensure they've been approved and shipped on time

  • Labor back charge invoices

  • Repair Only

  • Service/warranty calls

  • Answer phone calls


Event Management

Tradeshow's

  • Work with Director of Sales to confirm schedule for the year

  • Fill out tradeshow checklist for each event

  • Schedule meetings with tradeshow lead to go over event details (6 weeks out or 2 weeks depending on tradeshow)

  • Ensure correct samples are available in the cage

  • ¨Send samples to reps (if necessary)

  • ¨Coordinate the return of samples sent out

  • Order tradeshow giveaways (if applicable)

  • Order literature or samples (if necessary). Check with team before ordering any new samples

  • Send check requests to corporate accounting department (Use company credit card if under $1000.If event is over $1000, request a check)

Mobile Showroom's

  • Obtain schedule from Carrie Smith and Daniel Foppe

  • Work with Director of Sales on routing schedule

  • Schedule meeting with DSS rep

Miscellaneous Events

  • Any event not related to a tradeshow or mobile showroom

  • ¨DHI Golf Tournament, Clark VIP Event, etc.

  • Rockies Tickets Scheduling

  • Order Uniforms for team (if necessary)

  • Order tradeshow/event materials

  • Tablecloths, stand-up banners, literature racks, bag holders, etc.

A43 Sales Meetings

  • Reserve hotel meeting room (if necessary)

  • Order breakfast/lunch

  • Miscellaneous Meetings held in territory

  • Reserve hotel meeting room (if necessary)

  • Order breakfast/lunch


Office Management

  • Order office supplies

  • Purchase snacks, sodas and misc. items from Walmart/Target/Sams

UPS Shipments

  • Send samples, literature, giveaways, etc. to customers or team members

  • Notify team members when package(s) have arrived at office

  • Update all directories for employees in office and uploading a copy on bOX


Sales Operations

  • Opportunity Review Workbook for East and West calls

Account Management

  • Updating account management spreadsheet on bOX

  • ¨Accounts (making sure name is linked to SalesPoint and adding/deleting any account name when necessary)

  • ¨Account #'s

  • ¨Monthly sales #'s (posting final spreadsheet on bOX)

  • ¨Update any formatting

  • Monthly Won/Ordered Report

  • Enter CAM's when opening new or existing distributors


New Hire Orientation

  • Follow up with IT department to confirm when phone, laptop, iPad and credit card will arrive

  • Order business cards

  • Order all sweets catalogs from literature website to arrive before start date

  • Download all full line catalogs and price books on USB drive

  • Provide a Who's Who binder for their home office

  • In person, walk through email setup and all websites in detail


Personal Development

  • Enroll in AAU courses to maintain product knowledge

  • Attend any training sessions provided in our territory


Miscellaneous

  • Enter each event on the RV Dashboard

  • Sample cage

  • Organizing the cage

  • Maintain sample cage inventory spreadsheet and posting new version on bOX

  • Order new samples (if necessary)

  • Mounting new locks

Processes

  • Creating and maintaining office processes in PowerPoint format

  • Christmas Events/Gifts

  • Order gift baskets for corporate departments (pricing, customer service, etc.)

  • Coordinate with end user reps on who they want Christmas cards sent to

  • Order distributor lunches

  • Quoting back-up

  • Monthly Expense Report

  • Monthly Activity Report





 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant or office admin assistant

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines

  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)

  • SalesPoint experience desired or must have the ability to learn it and become proficient

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
