Project Manager - Specialty Products, ASSA ABLOY Door Group

Job Duties & Requirement (included but not limited to the following): 

  • Provide job specific technical support for customer/architect.  

  • Collaborate with team in strategizing how to grow current business and gain new business share in North America.   

  • Review architect plans and specifications to prepare complete and accurate submittals for the customer using both computer software and pricing tools.   

  • Assist in areas of hardware compatibility with each product line  

  • Verify shop drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, specification requirements and coordination of hardware, door and frames for functionality and label capabilities.   

  • Handle technical inquiries.   

  • Communicate with customers on discrepancies and/or application conflicts.   

  • Interpret hardware templates, review orders and prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing requirements.   

  • Use CAD software to produce detailed drawings that include building dimensions and required materials.   

  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees  

  • Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.  

  • Meet established productivity and quality goals   

  • Maintain lead-time goals

Qualifications: 

To perform this role successfully, an individual must meet expectations of each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. 

 

Education: 

  • High School Diploma/GED required. 

  • BA in Business Management, technical degree or equivalency preferred.   

Experience: 

  • A minimum five years estimating experience in the hollow metal door openings industry and direct customer and contractor contact desired. 

  • Ability to read, interpret and manage architectural plans, specifications and hardware schedules. 

  • Full understanding of building codes and labeling requirements are required. 

  • Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft, and AutoCAD software preferred. 

  • Experience with TrackPoint, OrderPro or comparable a plus 

Other Qualifications: 

  • Basic Geometry and Algebra math skills are necessary. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively and positively in a team environment. 

  • Effective communication skills via email and phone conversations 

  • This role requires someone who is self-motivated, self-regulating and able to meet job expectations with minimal supervision.
