Ignis - Powershield Glazing -

The Powershield Ignis range delivers bespoke steel framed solutions for fully glazed doors and screens. The high performing glazing system offers high levels of fire integrity as well as smoke control. The steel framing enables screens to complete larger openings whilst the narrow profiles offer maximum glass area keeping light transmission and aesthetics a priority.

Ideal for internal dividing walls where light and feeling of open space is desirable, or in corridors with limited light sources; but where, in both instances fire compartmentation is a requirement.

The Powershield Ignis range is suitable for internal use where thermal performance is not expected, such as:

  • Commercial Offices
  • Leisure & Entertainment Facilities
  • Hospitality
  • Public Facilities
  • Retail

Powershield Ignis doors and screens are manufactured from specialist rolled steel sections, similar to those found in the aluminium glazing systems, but being manufactured from steel they offer unrivalled fire performance with up to E120 (FD120) available

Frames to doors and screens are typically supplied as a fully welded construction with seamless connections at each intersection ensuring a high quality, clean, smooth finish.

Two profile options of 50 and 60mm deep enable a wide range of compliant fire glass types to be used, including single and double glazed units with the 60mm section accommodating glazing units of up to 34mm thick. Glass is secured with unique design clip-on beads

Door assemblies can be single or double leaf configuration, stand-alone or part of a larger screen assembly. Doors are supplied complete with compatible locking and hardware to provide a range of access functions, including emergency escape, whilst maintaining fire compliancy

Powershield Ignis doors and screens can be manufactured from black or pre-galvanised steel profiles and finished with a factory applied polyester powder coated paint to a wide range of colours

Alternatively, these can be manufactured from grade 304 or grade 316 stainless steel and supplied with a range of polished finishes.
