STEP 280 - Fail secure hookbolt strike

For use where the electronic access control system must work together with a high security Connect hookbolt rather than the traditional latchbolt. The rapid operation of an electric strike, as compared to a motor lock, is recommended for high-traffic areas such as corridor doors and main entrances. These strikes are also recommended for rooms containing cash or valuables and areas where staff may be subject to attack.

All Hookbolt Strikes are supplied fitted with either faceplate 183 or 283, or 184 or 284, and with 5 m cable.

The strike is manufactured from stainless steel.

VERY HIGH strength - resists 1,500kg sidepressure on the pivoting staple.

Door handing must be specified when ordering.

DC continuous duty fail secure

The strike opens when the current is on and locks automatically when the current is switched off.

Two microswitches monitor the hookbolt engagement and the deadlocking of the pivoting staple.

Features additional pivoting staple for latchbolt, allowing the door to be opened by an automatic door operator.

Handing must be specified when ordering. Use references:
