Project References The Shard Size: £19,000 Location: London, England Status: Complete Date: 2012 Role: Supply and installation of Powershield steel FIRE DOORS The Challenge: To supply 29 single fire door sets high up in the Shard Spire. This is the steel structure that sits onto the concrete core. The doors were installed by Emtec who were the specialist subcontractors fitting out the plant areas. Installing doors at this height was challenging and health and safety issues were paramount to ensure the operations were completed safely and professionally. Chiswick Park Size: £200,000 Location: London, England Status: Complete Date: 2014 Role: Manufacture and installation of Powershield FIRE DOORS The Challenge: Chiswick park is a high specification business park development in an important part of London. Our doors were specified by the architect which needed to meet the high aesthetic expectations of the high class interiors of the office blocks. Special details such as hidden frames and special finished were developed to meet those requirements. Olympic Park Redevelopment Size: £100,000 Location: London, England Status: Complete Date: 2015 Role: Manufacture and installation of Powershield fire and LPS security doors The Challenge: As well as supplying the doors to the original Olympic stadium back in 2012, we were appointed to supply doors for the redevelopment of this iconic building. Both fire and security doors were installed into the redeveloped stadium to help protect this iconic building. There were a number of challenges on the project, not least to meet the critical deadlines for comple-tion in advance of the Rugby World Cup. We were highly commended by Balfour Beatty for rising to and successfully completing this challenge. The Mary Rose Museum Size: £17,000 Location: Portsmouth, England Status: Complete Date: 2011 Role: Manufacture and installation of Powershield Steel FIRE DOORS Description of Challenge: This highly prestigious was built to provide a permanent home for the iconic Mary Rose, flagship of Henry VI naval fleet, which sunk off the Solent in the 14th Century. Powershield steel fire doors were installed through out the boat shaped building to provide security and fire projection to the priceless assets. Manchester Velodrome Size: £20,000 Location: Manchester, England Status: Complete Date: 2015 Role: Manufacture and installation of Powershield Steel - SR4 Description of Challenge: The National Cycling Centre in Manchester has become one of the world’s fastest board tracks. Regular users of the track include members of the Great Britain Cycling Team, as well as local schoolchildren and cycling enthusiasts. The track is open seven days a week and is one of the busiest tracks in the world; therefore, access and security is paramount.
